I'm laughing at myself. Obama is out of power and he's always been a turd so that's nothing new or surprising. Yet I still ~~had~~ have an urge to fedpost. I guess I hate him so much because he's the walking, talking, lecturing embodiment of the democrats and of neoliberalism.

I’m glad my first voting experience could have such milquetoast results lol. Fool me once and so on and so forth back-to-me

In the first election I voted in these results were so ugly and so crushing all I could do was laugh.

Mondale!!!! 😂

Only laughing because he’s a meme imo. God I despise Reagan so much.

At the time - I took it in stride. You win some - you lose some. Reagan was dogshit but it's hilarious how awful American presidents have been my entire life. Yet democrats are still always sharing infographics about how great the economy was under Clinton, Obama, and Biden as they cheerlead for Team Democrat. There's zero consideration that people aren't the economy. And when people are desperate and feel hopeless - they'll believe the biggest liars in the world. Dems have to maintain this fiction that somehow Trump appeared out nowhere and became a political juggernaut.

What else can you expect from an election held in 84?

I'm assuming if any jokes were made at the time in reference to the book named for that year, they were jokes about how well we avoided Orwell's dystopia since the great freedom-loving anticommunist epitome Ronnie Reagan was presiding over freedom-land?
