I live in an apartment building and dont drive, I have no reason to own a shovel aside from clearing sidewalks that dont get plowed and will handle people's walk ways as I go. Fuck their driveways cause fuck cars and i would only get half a block done. I dont live where people are weird about their lawns and will shoot you for being on em so im just seen as being a nice young person chipping in to help their neighbors. Old folks fucking LOVE it and will come talk for a while and give me treats. At work ill handle other people's jobs so they can take longer breaks on the clock. I clock in people who are running late, I refuse to make front of house pay for food and have done so openly in front of my boss who simply goes around a corner so he 'doesnt see anything'. Just do little nice things as much as possible for everyone around you even if you don't know em while also being openly a communist. Most people who dont go online to discuss politics are fairly open about their ignorance and are interested to hear about other points of view. Everyone in my kitchen thinks Gaddafi was a hero now.
