As soon as we get a stable reliable (proper) Linux phone, I'm ditching android forever.
More and more apps just don't work without attestation. No banking, no government stuff.
It's looking worse for a real open phone OS every year.
apps will stop working with so many hardware variations that people will just retvrn to web browsers eventually.
You're overestimating the average smartphone user. For the majority of the market, things will continue to function as they expect otherwise there will be no market.
