It's possible for two things to be true at once.
The World isn't the West. China is an enemy of choice for the West due to racism, otherwise it poses no threat.
China is a threat to Africa, trying to buy land for military bases from African countries. China is constantly trying to expand and dominate its culture. Is that isn't the definition of imperialism, I don't know what is.
