Better if it shows a Confederate soldier?
We will beat them again. It's just a question of how much suffering until then, and how much we actually root out the ideology.
Did you really though?
Reconstruction was never truly complete and allowed for a full range of "compromises". The attitude and feelings remained the same.
Quite sad that 175 years later and the arguments have changed very little.
To give some context to how little it's changed even in rhetoric. Confederate leaders were fear mongering about socialism.
