By paying for the blue mark, which was once only given to confirmed publicly visible personalities.

It's literally pay-to-win.

And who else is paying for those marks? Mostly those fucking bot farmers who run fake accounts with techbro things and keywords -- crypto, NFTs, "web3", dropship, airdrop, etc -- and then flood and insinuate themselves as random comments on a random Japanese account.
