"Tankie Bingo" (sh.itjust.works)
submitted 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) by LemmySlopSkimmer@hexbear.net to c/slop@hexbear.net

Had some fun with this. Rules:

  1. When a tankie post comes up, post a legitimate, fair argument. Do not argue in bad faith. No matter how nasty the post may be. Legitimately combat the disinformation there by going into their bubble and posting a sane response.
  2. Watch the responses come in. Especially if the post is on the tankie triad.
  3. Don't feed the trolls. Don't respond to anything, unless there is actually a legitimate attempt to have a legitimate discussion. Otherwise, start a game of tankie bingo to help prevent yourself from responding to the madness.

Suggestions for expansion welcome.

sure why not

But only if it's you and me, I'm not going to reply to anyone else. I think it's also a good idea to set a baseline of things we agree on so we can actually talk in good faith.

I'll start: I hate the US, like a lot, probably more than you!

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

yet you find reasons to say that "Israel and the US are not as buddy buddy as it might seem" as to exonerate the US for siccing its attack dog on Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and Iran (which are foreign policy wins that directly align with the goals of the US ruling class) and say Palestinians ought to lie down and take it with no resistance.

You're a nazi. You were still repeating Hasbara claims that Hamas committed mass sexual assault during October 7th only to justify your point that Palestinian Resistance could only be legitimate if they sold their country out to Western interests. If you were alive during the Holocaust you'd be concern trolling about how Jews shouldn't have been taking control of European industry and finance if they didn't want to get gassed. Just blatantly repeating propaganda that aligns with the goals of capitalist empire, no critical thought and no moral spine.

[–] goat@reddthat.com 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

I'm tempted to reply in earnest, but I'd get banned

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Because you're a Zionazi spineless lib. You have such little moral spine you're afraid of getting banned on an account you literally never use anyway. You don't even want to defend the imaginary Israelis in your head you think Hamas hurts with their terrorism.

[–] goat@reddthat.com 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

i don't much care for israel

but aren't i showing a spine by engaging with you? politely, might i add

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's not brave or polite to show up and refuse to even elaborate on your Hasbara lines.

[–] goat@reddthat.com 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

you don't even know what my views are :3

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

When asked why it was wrong to support the Palestinian resistance, your response was:

don’tremoved, don’t carry out terrorism on innocent civilians

The right way was using the internet and global attention, which Palestine was doing, raising awareness of how they are suffering and gaining sympathy for it. They should’ve adopted more Western ideals, or maybe liberalism, encourage foreigners to come and stay. The West Bank and Gaza near Rafah were also doing decently well in terms of growth, labelling itself as a trendy tourist destination.

[–] goat@reddthat.com 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

that's not what the question was. The question was asking what was the right way for palestine to resist Israeli oppression.

also don't what?

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

As I said before, you were repeating the Hasbara claim that Hamas was doing mass sexual assault to defend your point that what Palestinians should do is resign themselves to be exterminated.

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You're literally the least "good faith" person on the feddiverse. Fuck off.

[–] goat@reddthat.com 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Why do you hate the US?

Some of the many reasons I hate the US is how it's a Corporatocracy and how they regularly interfere with foreign affairs

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Not aiding and abetting a genocide, using the status of its currency as the global reserve currency to exploit the global south, the concentration camps, the incarceration rate, the warmongering, kidnapping sovereign leaders, police violence, illegal occupation of indigenous lands and broken treaties, the immense CO2 emissions per capita, or how about the fact that it's a burger addicted healthcareless wasteland ruled by a literal cabal of pedophile child murderers?

No, your criticism of the US is restrained to a made up term from political science (oh no! my capitalist ruling class is exerting political power and has taken control of the state! That's totally different from every single other capitalist country that definitely isn't ruled by the capitalist ruling class, no sir) and "regularly interfering with foreign affairs" which is language so subtle it almost makes you forget the US killed 1/5 people in North Korea during the Korean war and no one even talks about it because they've done even worse things than that.

[–] goat@reddthat.com 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yeah, those are some of the reasons I hate it as well

How do you feel about yanks tho? Is there a distinction between the US government and its populace or are they all doomed?

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The US is a democratic country that genuinely reflects the interests of their people when it's time to spread that freedom and democracy to the rest of the world and occupy other countries. Yet when it's time to introspect about the innocent lives the country has ended, suddenly it takes on the affect of the innocent US soldier who just slaughtered a family because he needed the money for his education and a Camaro. Either yanks live in a democratic country and they're culpable for the things I listed, or they live in a dictatorship of capital and do nothing but vote in response which is even more embarrassing.

How do average yanks feel about Puerto Ricans? Want to annex us into the dying empire to make our tax money go into bombs that will be used on us and the rest of Latin America? Or think we're too brown for that so just gonna keep us as a military base to murder people in Venezuela and Cuba forever?

[–] goat@reddthat.com 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You're Puerto Rican? Admittedly, I know little about the history of Puerto Rico

the US is also not a democracy, that's propaganda.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

If the US is not a democracy then why do anticommunist "leftists" in the US insist that revolutionary leftists who want to overthrow the anti-democratic government should vote for Genocide Joe or Kamala Harris instead?

And don't say 'you can do both' because voting for the blue fascists is all that's necessary for half of the country to go back to brunch and forget about politics. It's an active detriment to the revolutionary cause when Democrats win because the same violence keeps unfolding but there's no mobilization. Now under Trump, the Renee Nicole Good murder has inspired massive protests and people are joining PSL. Historically this was the case after the murder of George Floyd, also under Trump. But under Biden leftists were told that if we criticized him for being a genocidal nazi we would be aiding the Republicans and mobilization was hindered and neutered as a result.

[–] goat@reddthat.com 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Because people from the US are generally stupid and indoctrinated from an early age to be loyal consumers who never question or ponder the larger world. They are kept distracted by violence and entertainment and are groomed to be products throughout the entirety of their lives, where even their health is a stream of revenue. It's so prevalent that they can't even fathom other countries' histories, cultures or political leanings, they project a cone of us defaultism. They assume the rest of the world must be two-sided like what you've described -- It's frustrating. Like, free healthcare is considered a radical idea in your country, that's fucked!

The US is not a democracy and never really has been.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Okay, glad we agree and you're ready to organize the proletariat into armed revolutionary organizations, stop voting for Democratic candidates who do nothing but legitimize their terrible empire, and stop destroying the planet just to make a line keep going up.

[–] goat@reddthat.com 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

The US people will never organise into revolutionaries; they love their subjugation, they love their violence, their entertainment and their products. And the leftists, or whatever kind you want to paint yourself as, are cowardly and weak. You can't even handle words, and you expect to handle a revolution? The revolution is going to be guts and blood and atrocities tenfold, you're not going to be a part of it, you're not going to be a part of this fighting force. Just too young, too delicate.

Nor do I do want the US to organise in said groups anyway, since they won't ever shut up about it. The rest of the world is sick and tired of your country's bs and as far as I'm concerned I'm hardpressed to take any yank seriously, including yourself.

That first link is hilarious. Goat is agreeing with us in the comments because even they know that there's no evidence for the liberal fantasies about Tank Man being executed.

Antiyanks is mentally ill, he's his own master

i've tried talking to him before and sometimes got places, but it doesn't take much until he's going off again. He's made approximately 4000 accounts so far, really rather impressive
