One battle after another needed like, an hour cut out of it. Good movie but it had a lot of unnecessary things in it that bloated the time and took away from the impact.

Yep. To be precise the first 40 mins or so of the mother's story could be cut. It made little impact on the story and also felt super perverted the way the actress was portrayed. Some of that time could've been spent on the daughter cause she is the main character.

I found it entertaining nonetheless. I enjoyed it a lot not knowing it was supposed to be an award-winning movie. The entire movie feels like it’s trying hard to have activism, but I couldn’t really tell if it was satirical which was kind of what I enjoyed about it. It was just so absurd.

Right, I really enjoyed it, but it rambled on for quite a while in the middle. I also didn't realize it was Oscar bait till about halfway through.
