They were sick live as well. There was a suburban metal scene where I was growing up that was kknda more fun than the hardore shows at the time cause all ages hardcore was of the basketball shorts variety

Ohhh yeah I know how that goes. For me it was oddball punk and ska shows, which were fun as hell, or the MySpace "scenester" tight jeans, white belt, swooped hair kinda hardcore. Similar to what you're referring to, im sure. I never cared for that music, and the kids both my age and older were generally way nicer than the other scenes were so I stuck with them.

Corgi lore time: I played saxophone for a ska band that ended up playing a lot of shows with those hardcore bands like that. The mixed bill ska/punk/hardcore shows were usually really fun, but like, I remember them being VERY clique-y/segregated wrt who came for the hardcore bands and who came for the fun ones.
