Who is this "we" supposed to be?
This is the Leninist interpretation of Marxism. Which is what the vast majority of the authoritarian “communist” states of the 20th century were based upon.
Sounds like tankies to me, but i guess its sort of vague
It works for a lot of utopian movements with "Ends justify the means" thinking, tbqh.
Yeah, thats what i noticed about the vagueness. I believe it was intentional. Im just around a lot of tankies so it made me think of them first lol
Libertarians
Try Marxist-Leninists. I literally had this exact conversation the other day with two .ml users... They were trying to claim communism "actually totally works" because Russia/China/etcetc have proven it ... except they're not communist countries. They then went on to explain that, "no aktually having a ruling party that continues to segregate the population and elevate and protect their own positions is totally communism! You need to read more theory, because there has to be a transition to communism ..."
blah blah blah... They're literally too stupid to understand OP's joke. They unironically think that stuff.
The withering of the state as a concept is a foundational part of ML theory and it does seem as though you’re being intentionally obtuse. I don’t think you would run into a ton of people who believe that OPs meme is an implausible situation as this is the exact reason continuous revolution exists as a concept. The transitional state has to be scrutinized so as not to become a tool of bourgeois capitalism once more.
So yeah to echo what the others said to you: you should read more theory. Your understanding of these concepts seems to be more memetic than anything.
lol No, my understanding is not lacking. I know what ML prescribes and imagines. I disagree it's such a hopeful premise IRL.
It's also stupid to call any transitionary period 'communism' itself, either, much like supposedly China today.
