did they ever stop having steak dinners
There was a time where one of them kept gifting the others frozen salmon and they had a freezer full of frozen salmon in that weird frat/flop house they rented in DC
what
I’m trying and failing to remember the names here but I remember the Chapos or somebody who found this article about how some of the congress critters live in DC. Some of them, 3 or 4 iirc, were all renting rooms in this big house. The article went on to detail how it was a total bachelor pad/hot couch guy situation and in the freezer were a bunch of salmon gifted to them by one of the Alaska senators or something.
Reading the article is like if you turned this reaction:
into a few thousand words of text
Pretty sure it was Mitt Romney?
Wasn't one of them Chuck Schumer?
I might be misremembering it but weren't they cooking it in some incredibly fucked way too? Like they microwaved or boiled it or something
this makes so much sense. these fuckers can't do anything for themselves
People are mixing up two things. Mitt Romney had a freezer full of salmon filets donated by Lisa Murkowski that he put on hamburger buns and slathered in ketchup https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/mitt-romney-salmon-senate-murkowski-b2412264.html And up until 2014, Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin (and some other Dem senators) lived together in a house they jokingly called "Omega House" like a frat. https://www.cnn.com/2013/12/04/politics/real-alpha-house
oh that's too bad. they all seem like frat bros. is there a reason they stopped living in a congressional frat house or did they just realize they're all old as fuck now?
See, it’s not enough for liberals that Congress critters are regularly having steak dinners that cost more than you or I would spend on ourselves for an entire week of food. No, if the Democrats and Republicans aren’t having steak dinners together, then that’s the downfall of democracy.
