May i ask why? Im planning on buying one in the coming months, and crealitys are available on my local second hand store page (like fb marketplace but dedicated site only for my country).
Id rather not get a bambu if they really are locking everything down, so not sure what else is left
They're super sleazy. I bought a K1 on Black Friday thinking the hardware was.. like.. standard? I have a completely different printer, nothing for the K1 is compatible, and the nozzles are $20 EACH, instead of $30 for a pack of 10. Total bait and switch. And they won't respond to my emails asking what parts are compatible.
Aha i didnt know about this. Thanks, its something im interested in looking into more on my own
They haven't locked down yet and you can use local only. But I'll tell you this so far they are the easiest printer to print with by a long shot. My brother has a K1 and he's always fiddling with it before a print where my Bambi's just print. It was also the first printer I gave my sister and her kids as it just works more then other printers. I know they have downsides god i hate how they are not that open but my god after decades of fiddling with printers it is nice that they just work. I want to print stuff not tweak printers.
I see. If at all avoidable, id like to avoid bambu if they are on the path of locking down, despite how easy they are. Opennes is really important to me, so if I didnt go for bambu, nor creality, what are ky other options at aprice range that is a logical investment for a first printer? If theres nothibg else, Ill just buy a bambu, but id rather not
