Even the analysis by much of the actual US left has been quite lacking around this imo. The primary line seems to be that this is bad because the actions of the US are imperialist and warmongering which is absolutely true, but it sort of just ends there. There seems to be a shying away from the actual specific conditions of Venezuela and it's relationship to the US. Instead of solidarity for Venezuelan socialism the best the left here seems to muster is "we shouldn't bomb you because that's wrong for obscure reasons". It just seems hollow and maybe even harder to build a long term movement around.
It's the imperial core and people might be scared, yes, but avoiding the fact that Venezuela has popular support, communes set up, and has been under siege? Not even trying to convince others?
It seems like the more ML aligned groups are talking about these things at least but they're definitely not part of the dominant narrative here.
also imo, the relationship between the US & the actual imperial warmongerer state that still exists which canada is part of- even venezeula was once part of the british empire!
e.g. look at epstein's ties to the british royal family which colonial cuck nations like australia/canada will continue to ignore for as long as the UK tells them it's ok to do so while cloutfarming from liberal americans who applaud them for #resisting the evil donald trump #nokings

charles I&IV, king of hungary, and direct lineage of the famously inbred happburg royal family, became presumptive heir of Franz Joseph and the austrian throne after his uncle, Franz Ferdinand, then arch duke of austria, was assassinated in 1914, an event that is considered a "pivotal" moment in initiating WWI.
british confederate expansion began in australia/canada in the late 1890s/early 1900s, both countries have a very similar shared history and methodology of colonisation involving sterilization, stolen generations and attempts to "breed out the race" and catholic indoctrination schools
the romanov family were descendants from the same family tree as the current british royal family- and DNA samples from prince philip (alleged nazi sympathiser husband of the now dead queen elizabeth ii & father to former-prince andrew) were used to "definitively" "prove" that princess anastasia was definitely dead after persisting claims of her survival. + then everything that happened in russia leading up to, &, as a result of the death of the romanov family in 1918
the british royal family has had a long history of nazi ties, including papers from 1945 that detail a plan for the british empires cooperation with the nazi party (documentation that the UK "allegedly" tried to have covered up and erased from history)
former-prince andrew's apparent refusal to testify/cooperate in the epstein case (coupled with the fact that little st epstein island is part of the virgin islands, and, convenietly located right next to the british virgin islands, a british colony that is home to significant leaks involving international money laundering
the "security concerns" that caused prince harry to move to the US were resolved recently. but some other prince harry highlights include:
robert maxwell is alleged to have been a british/israeli spy & was also an early investor in israeli-owned teva pharmaceuticals (a company which produces opioids (more recently in the form of medical fentanyl for cancer pain). teva (like all Big Pharma (tm) companies) has had many scandals, but specifically one where the CEO of apotex pharmaceuticals stole trade secrets from his girlfriend who happened to be the director of global regulations at Teva). barry sherman, the canadian founder of apotex & his wife were murdered in 2017 a few months after this case. teva was founded in the early 1900s and sold medicine to the british army occupying forces in palestine during WWII.
justin trudeau was previously under investigation over him accepting allegedly illegal campaign donations from Apotex pharmaceuticals which could have ruled his eligibility to be prime minister invalid, but, this trial was dismissed after barry sherman was murdered. unrelated(?): justin trudeau is now dating katy perry (the singer, not this one)

also robert maxwell's media empire via the Daily Mirror and it's heated rivalry with (australian) robert murdoch owned News Corp. the murdoch media empire also has a long history with the packer family. james packer was previously introduced to the church of scientology by tom cruise, then lived next door to netenyahu in israel but most recently decided to become trump's neighbour last year moving to florida.
james packer also founded RatPac entertainment alongside Brett Ratner with Gravity being their first film. brett ratner is known for the rush hour film series & is also the director of the upcoming Melania Trump biopic
this doesn't necessarily related to any of the above, but i think it's also interesting so i'm mentioning it anyway while i've got my tinfoil hat on: did you know that the Wolf of Wall Street was co-produced by Red Granite pictures, a company that used allegedly embezzled malaysian government funds to produce it?

like idk man, maybe the united states should ~~annex~~ enter a committed relationship with canada lol- the canadian dollar is only good for faciliating international money laundering thanks to legal loopholes created due to the fact it's a technically separate country (despite the fact that ~75% of the population live within 100km (60 american freedom miles) of the US border. (e.g. see the whole ryan wedding thing & also the ongoing issues that border states have any time there's any sort of environmental disaster).
