Well, it was the non-suffrage that was the issue.
Also I'd tack on the Senate even for the shortlist.

And he’s usually regarded as the least awful president. Literally every single one of them has committed brutal crimes against humanity.

it was democratic for it's first Inception relative to the reality it was in, but as time moved on America became less and less relatively democratic, I don't think you could call it democratic when it's party 1 with slightly different opinions and party 2 with slightly different opinions, with every other view being punished by partisan and bi-partisan voices
