RULES

  1. Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
  2. Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
  3. Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
  4. Stay calm: Donโ€™t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world
  5. Keep it clean and SFW
  6. No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.

I'm a Zimbabwean ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ผ who has stayed half of her life in Malawi ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ผ

If I could pick one souvenir food wise it would be this garlic sauce from here in Malawi.

Will make a series of posts on this.

Hahaha! I wouldn't be surprised if old mate Paul Hogan (croc dundee) is still in the ads! I can't remember if theres a brewery still doing Fosters in Aus, I'm pretty sure the British just brew it somewhere on their patch as well.

Haven't thought about Tooheys in years, seems to have gone out of fashion over in WA (Western Aus), the Queenslanders are probably still chuggin it though.

If you do a cheap beer swap VB is def one for the swap, other potential water substitutes might be XXXX, and Great Northern. Interesting thing about those beers is they're way more popular in certain parts of the country and almost unknown in others.
