I was sooo excited for 28 years later. Watched no trailers or anything. Walked out of the theater really confused and disappointed. Then I learned that it was a trilogy and a couple watches later and I'm a fan.
I do think generally a movie shouldn't require re-watching and explanations to finally seem good, but at the same time I don't think this movie was ever supposed to have wide appeal
