I wonder if they are trying to sort of pave over a lot of the mess that Bob Chapek made. Get people to watch Endgame again and remind them that they are capable of making good movies like that.

Bob Iger, who is back as CEO at Disney, admitted in May that Chapek had been too focused on quantity over quality and it was a mistake. I don't think anyone would disagree with that and I think it's good that they're acknowledging it. The new plan is 2 or 3 projects a year focusing on quality.

I hope that means that the focus will be on writing good stories and not just bigger explosions and more special effects. Pretty movies with lots of action are fun sometimes, but they can't hold a candle to a well written story with engaging characters.
