Did he actually have the hubris to say it would be easy?
Oh, heavens no. Mark actually took a really long break from YouTube filming this all pretty much by himself in a warehouse. Actually worried his fans when he went radio silent for months. He'd pop back in occasionally to say, "Hey, don't worry about me, I'm just really busy making this movie, it's one of the hardest things I've ever done. Be patient, I'll be back soon, I'm really excited to show it to you."
Or something to that effect. Believe it or not, Mark has been a remarkably humble guy for most of his career. He puts on a caricature for his streams, but off camera, he's calm and well-spoken. Good dude. I'm going to go see this movie.
He hasn't said anything, but the fact that he's the writer, director, editor, executive producer, and actor in the movie makes me think he's bitten off more than he can chew.
Possibly, but it's not like he has to do all.of those things simultaneously and he does have prior experience with some of them too.
