That's fair. I might be out of touch but I'd usually just call them action RPGs, and you've certainly gotten recommendations here that I really wouldn't call JRPGs. At this point I think the only reason Silksong isn't a "JRPG" is the lack of experience points or other near analogue. At one point, titles like Dark Souls and Devil May Cry (which you also might want to check out, probably starting from 3 if possible) were called "character action games".
