Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.
Rules:
-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --
Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed.
All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body.
If you are citing a Twitter post as news, please include not just the twitter.com URL but also Xcancel.com (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance, such as Libredirect or archive them as you would any other reactionary source (archive.today, web.archive.org, ghostarchive.org). Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed.
Mass-tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken Markov chain bot will result in a comm ban.
Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.
Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned.
Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society.

What makes you think the greens won't step up? Zack has been a huge critic of Farage's politics and personality, and they've got the membership numbers and approval within demographics as well.
I very much could be (and hope to be) wrong but to me it feels like at best we'll get a repeat of the Corbyn years where people will rally behind a singular figure pitching reform of the system that will get throttled or neutered by the establishment the moment it comes anywhere near electoral success (albeit on a smaller scale), and then when Reform get in a lot of the membership will become disillusioned and the leadership won't do anything other than repeatedly condemning what Farage is up to whilst waiting for the next election while we run down the clock on stuff like climate collapse.
I'm certainly not saying to not get involved if you want to, and it does seem like the Greens will probably be the leftmost party in the running (albeit far closer to Social Democracy rather than anything that challenges Capitalism - another problem with electoral politics in general I guess), but I've spoken to a few people very enthusiastic about the Greens who act completely aghast at the idea that Reform are still likely to be the ones in power and seem to have gotten back on the kick of thinking we can dismantle Capitalism if we democracy hard enough, and immediately shut down the idea of building proper duel power or making any plans to undermine Farage outside of the electoral system from within the UK. There is something called Greens Organise which is supposed to be reaching out to trade unions and the like but from what I've seen still seems like an extension of the party's electoral strategy but it's fairly new so who knows.
For what it's worth I think Your Party would have probably been fairly similar in the grand scheme of things, having been on Corbyn's wild ride between 2015-2019 I feel fairly burned out on mainstream party politics in general so maybe I'm just bitter. Again, not shitting on anyone who has signed up to the Greens, definitely doesn't seem like there's many mass movements to join otherwise, but I worry we're just making all the same mistakes again at a time when things are even more desperate.
