Too early for me to judge yet, but I do like a nice cube.

I'm most excited by the new controller, but I'm VR curious so I will keep an eye on the Frame pricing when it comes out

I'd recommend seeing if you have any VR arcades nearby. Half-Life Alyx is the only VR title I'd describe as a must play. Everything else is tech demos.

SuperHot VR rises above tech demo (but only somewhat). It is very fun controlling your body movements to make time travel at certain rates. Surprisingly tiring!

I don't use VR but aren't Beat Saber and VRChat also pretty popular?

[–] Wheaties@hexbear.net 3 points 4 months ago

Yes. Beat Saber is very polished and has a big library of songs (and an even bigger library of mods). Probably not fair to lump it in with tech demos.

VRChat is... well essentially its a bunch of voice chat servers. Yes, vr brings a sense of "presence" and scale that you wouldn't get from, say, something like Second Life. But once the novelty of that wears out, eh. Unless you feel comfortable with and are interested in striking up conversations with randos, then there's not actually much to it.

That’s a great idea, thank you
