A small car would then be a solution, right?
I mean, riding in a car that would allow you to see a small kid near your wheels, not on a tank-sized SUV. It should very much work?

This particular news item is specifically for giant, unecological, mean killing machines.

I agree that those large cars should be banned. I think I start my comment by saying that. I agree that SUVs are bad. So, you do not need to convince me.

The person I am responding to says they want to make it very difficult for these cars. I think a lot of people want that. However, I am not aware of any plans to make the inner city difficult to access specifically for SUVs. So, what happens in practice is that either all cars are banned or it is made very expensive to park for any car. And this hurts accessibility for people who are not able to use other forms of transport. A small car is not a solution for this. I cannot go a lot of places I could go before, even though my car is small.

You rightfully say that this news is about SUVs. But in practice when taking measures against cars this distinction between car types is not made. I wanted to make people aware of the issues this can cause, especially if it influences their vote, etc, as the OP suggests.
