oh please, it's not even a real diagnosis. Ease off those pearls.

It IS, however, the most accurate and widely understood description of Sonic Fans/Bronies/Hazbin/Digital Circus/etc fans. No other word so accurately captures the cringe, the lack of self-awareness, the creepy fetishes.

Do you know some other word that so perfectly encapsulates that behavior?

Not a real diagnosis? Where do you think the word comes from?

Again, grow the fuck up and go touch grass.

Well, they're technically correct (likely by accident). It is no longer a diagnosis that is used.

[–] QueenMidna@lemmy.ca 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Yeah but using it as a derogatory term is never okay

[–] caseyweederman@lemmy.ca 3 points 6 days ago

Absolutely agree.

Technically correct is the best kind of correct.

Addtionally, not by accident. I knew it was an obsolete diagnosis as spectrum-boi myself. So, regardless, I get a pass anyways. I, and others, don't need some outraged, outsider, white knight, internet warrior policing what words people in a community can say. It's pretty cringe.

That's a lot of very interesting assumptions you've made about me, friend.

[–] SailorFuzz@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

Oh, not about you. About the other guy/gal. Just didnt want you feel ignored. Cheers

My friend, you are the one crashing out. Not over an actual diagnosis, not over a real community of people, not over a slur. You're white knighting for a thing could only possible offend terminally online hypersensitives.

You... need to touch grass.

But if it helps, "wow, your manufactured outrage to signal how compassionate you are by losing your shit at strangers on the internet is SOOOO cool. I swear, I'll never say [nono word] ever again! You're the coolest ever, everyone thinks so". Feel better now, cupcake?

How is it not a slur? It's a derogatory term for a group of people diagnosed with ASD
