yeah, danshi here means boy. himedanshi is princess boy, probably taken from yurihime the largest yuri serialization.
creating vs consuming
wow really? most of the touhou fans i know are queer people that are lib at worse, but i don't interact often with the big networks so i'm probably biased here
that said, it's not surprising it all. even things like one piece or metal gear have a big right wing fanbase that doesn't even understand the works they are reading
Coming from a very casual Touhou fan.
Touhou has a long lasting presence on 4chan since the early days of the website which brings a lot of scum and villany with it.
Like many anime adjacent things, there are the incel groyper fandom wings, and the trans communist wing.
yeah touhou is part of the background radiation of the internet
