lore accurate UNSC, master chief was made to slaughter revolutionaries, only thing that stopped them was the covenant beating them to the punch
that plus Halo 2 was just straight up a cartoony 9/11 revenge fanfic in space, the covenant use a ~~plane~~ spaceship to destroy the ~~twin towers~~ space elevator in new ~~york~~ mombasa, the arbiter was originally named the dervish, the villain is pretty much named after muhammad (the prophet of truth), and their villain plot is to suicide bomb the galaxy
It's still the best Halo campaign narrative. I always loved how they went full space opera with the Arbiter's side of the story and how much effort they put into expanding the universe and storytelling after what was seen in Halo 1. Halo 3's campaign was just an extended version of what was supposed to be 2's original climax and Reach was a snorefest trying to ape Call of Duty
ODST was good though
for sure, the xenofiction enemies-to-lovers plot instantly puts it head and shoulders over every other campaign
