I really liked the Japanese expansion. You can have virtually unlimited heroes like the Atlanteans with some great myth units. The siege weapons aren't so great, but the Asura more than make up for it. Having a hero that can both heal and do decent range damage is also handy, and makes dealing with titans very easy.
