In general, the two most overrated actors are probably Bill Murray and Robin Williams. Bill Murray is just a high rent Chevy Chase that is treated like a national treasure for some reason and I don’t like Robin Williams shtick. This extends to their ‘serious’ films. 95% of the time when you get a comedian doing a serious role they get huge amounts of praise for a mediocre at best performance.
If there is a single movie it would have to be Ben Hur. A snore fest justified by having a huge budget and nice sets.
You forgot the intentional homoerotic subtext.
Gonna be honest, I can’t recall any homoerotic subtext. My brain checked out completely somewhere around the 10th minute of watching 2 characters we should care about and 8 randoms whipping horses.
