Final destination bloodlines has a 6.7 on IMDb and 73 on metacritic. I'd give it a fat fucking 0. Thats as overrated as you get.
In a similar vein if those 2 ratings vs mine. The biggest differences would be.
Better but still overrated: I'm sorry these are cult classics I know
i don't think i've ever heard mib2 rated well at all
IMDb rating and metacritic were 60 or so.
What constitutes the “whole genre” represented by The Green Mile?
cw old timey slur kinda
trope maybe
spoiler
"magical negro"Correct.
Saying genre was quicker than specifying the trope that is deeply imbedded in the narrative structure of so many of these.
Also saying genre means other aspects can be counted too. Like the 'won't you pity this black person' while having no valuable content otherwise. Cheap slop with a racial element to it.
The blind side with Sandra bullock. Put that in there too
in the absence of a more informed strong opinion i'd call "negro" fossil terminology or something along those lines. Spike Lee popularized the term for the trope in 2001 in what is surely a deliberate use.
