Does no one know how to make a roux? If you already had the cheese, I'm sure you had maybe some butter or oil on hand and some flour.
Butter or oil sure. You might be surprised how many people do not keep flour handy.
Last time we bought flour we had moths coming out of it like a year later
you need to make more sauce!
Also you need glass/metal/plastic containers

Flour and butter are certainly cheaper than mayo
Don't even need flour for Alfredo. Its just parm, butter, heavy cream (or milk) and the drippings from the meat part (usually chicken). If not, add a splash of chicken stock.
