It was. Theres many examples of people eluding to things, but not actually outright saying them. The reason being that the liable laws in the UK are that you need to prove what you are saying is true, rather than the American way of doing it which is that they need to prove you are lying.
And while it was an open secret, they all still went on his show, took his requests, and perpetuated the lie that was Jimmy Saville. And thats the real issue. Those who seek fame and fortune have a miserable track record of doing the right thing. They only joined the metoo thing because it was advantageous to their careers. Same with this Kimmel thing. If social media wasnt all abuzz with it, they would be keeping their mouths shout.
I will never, ever, understand why people look to celebrities to get their morality. You'd think the fact that Corey Feldman still cant name the people who raped him and Haim would say it all. Harvey was only the tip of the iceberg.
