China is a perfect divinely chosen nation that has done no wrong through its entire history even back when it was ruled by bloodthirsty feudal warlords or fascists.
Makes you wonder whether dessalines is paid to have this opinion or if he really believes this lunacy.
it's nuts. even most Chinese scholars in China acknowledge that Chinese history has been imperialistic as fuck ever since the salt and iron debates when the Chinese court selected to expand militarily into neighboring countries. the only real debate is whether the current regime is just another phase of the imperial order of organization and then collapse or is some new thing that will prove more durable (the scholar i learned from argued for the former, that eventually the communist party will lose their mandate of heaven, and popular uprisings will once again see china divided).
that dessalines would mark this VERY widely understood truth in China as sinophobic is… frankly sinophobic. it implies the Chinese people are too dumb to assess their own history, and only he and his tanky brethren get to analyze Chinese history. Like… this is some seriously offensive shit.
