Still on that Death Stranding 2 playthrough. I'm really only playing on the weekends and taking my time to savor it. The gameplay is as tight as any Kojima game has ever been and DS2 feels like the logical evolution of MGS5, of all things, whereas DS1 felt like a side-step. I remember reading some pre-release reviews where Kojima said people on his team were saying that the game was getting "too Metal Gear". I can see why, but I love that shit. Review standpoint, I'm waiting until I finish the game before I pass any judgement on it. I'm almost 40 hours in and it still feels like things are ramping up narratively.

DS2 Spoilers, even though it was in the trailer.I fucking love Higgs as a villain. He has that evil whimsy about him.

Other than that, I'm still playing Rimworld. I have all the DLC, but I'm trying to remember how to play the game before I dove into any of that. I just finished a vanilla playthrough and started a Royalty DLC playthrough now allying with the Empire.

Abiotic Factor is still on-going. Not much progress since last week. Working my way through the Reactor sector which is totally new content for me. I have a base set up in Torii that I'm trying to beautify and make functional at the same time.

Really liking these threads because they're my only chance to really discuss video games with people. I'd love to do a podcast or make content or something.

I just platinumed it at 160 hours, and it's been a long time since a game provided that much play time without getting stale. It was well worth the money, and I'm really hoping Kojima is up for a third one. There are still more continents to connect. It would just be nice if they used more local voice actors, because it was weird how few Australian accents were in the game.

Ah that's good to know. I've been enjoying playing it as a slow burn still. As for a third, it came up in an interview 3ish weeks ago and Kojima said:

"I'm not planning to do that at the moment, because the ending of Death Stranding 2 was my finale of 1 and 2. But I already wrote the concept of DS3, so I have that in data. I hope that someone would create it for me."

I always remember that he said every Metal Gear game was going to be his last one right up until Konami fired him.

Right? If he's penned an outline, I've got quite a bit of hope. The man can't not work, and he clearly isn't out of ideas.

Just keep upgrading those roads. Lv. 2 roads make a huge difference in making driving not tedious, and it's essential for a lot of the late-game express orders. Just a reminder, you can go back to Mexico to finish all of those bunkers and get upgrades to things that you might not have thought of. I finished all but two demi-bosses without knowing that there were Lv. 2 blood grenades.

I didn't even know you could upgrade the roads... thank you for the tip. oh-shit
