I love that game. Haven't played it since the big update with the DLC, though, since I know it means I'll need to start a new file to get used to all the new systems.
The DLC is the best the game gets, so you should give it another go!
I'm conflicted with the DLC, I felt like it really lacked any satisfying ending

since you either become full CIA or you end up getting betrayed by both. I personally got the ending where you send Songbird to the moon and she never talks to you again except a little gift you receive after a while
To be fair though, I haven't gotten to the ending you unlock after the DLC, so maybe that closure to the DLC storyline could be in that ending, don't spoil me if so
All around though it's an interesting premise and characters, and there's some banger quotes by Silverhand
The ending hurts, but it fits the theme. I really liked the missions and environment the most, really.
