IBM took over 50 years to become irrelevant after the fascists they worked with were overthrown. I suspect the "punishment" had no bearing on those choices, and certainly anyone making those decisions didn't feel the impact of IBM losing relevance. I hope something more substantial and immediate happens to Apple and the other leaders who bent the knee.
