Official Title of this Community: Ethnic Minorities and People of Color
Why is the title different?
We like to have fun here.
What is this place? A safe space for underrepresented peoples and peoples of color to talk, chill, and vibe.
What are the basic rules of the community?

Follow Lemmy TOS and Community Guidelines. Non negotiable. This is the bedrock and mods will make decisions with this always in mind.

This community is for ethnic minorities and people of color. This is a safe space where such people can freely discuss their struggles, insight, and thoughts without fear. If you are not, we respectfully ask you do not post or comment here. A future community will be established to allow for racial discussions with a mixed userbase. However, remember, comments here must still respect Lemmy TOS and Community Guidelines.

Thinking like stupidpol ignores the struggles of the oppressed, their voices, and their need for unique support. Nothing says oppression more than someone saying that the identity you have is "not real" and that if you only thought like them you'd see what your "real" identity is. This place is for ethnic minorities and people of color. This includes those of mixed heritage and those who may be "white" but are of an ethnicity that is a minority in their area (i.e. Kurds, etc) If you've experienced oppression due to your identity that is not based on sexual / gender identification, you are welcome here.

Moreover, for our American audience, we have people from around the world who are "white" but are oppressed due to being a minority in their country. They are and should be welcomed here.

Facts. Every. Damn. Time. See it with the slight narrative change on Gaza like these mfs didn't paint opposition to that as antisemitism at every step. Mfs whitewashing their crimes against Jewish people with Palestinian blood. I couldn't write more effective evil if i tried.
I wish more white people would move to a white only town and get the fuck out of society and away from the rest of us. All they do is whine all day about seeing minorities, then leave. They can take one of the many cities we don't care about. Like whatever going in in Idaho or Wisconsin.
Whitey will still find a way to blame everyone else for their problems. There are still de-facto sundown/whites only towns scattered across the US and they tie themselves into knots trying to figure out what's wrong with society (the answer is always capitalism, but that would mean racism is also wrong).
One of these towns isn't far from where I live, complete with its own chapter of the KKK. Poverty is rampant because jobs were outsourced, so there's nothing left. Rather than blame capitalists doing ghoul shit, they blamed a non-existent black population. When that didn't work, they moved on to a non-existent Jewish population. Finally, they found Irish, Italian, and Latine people they could blame, which they continue to do, despite chasing all those groups elsewhere.
