Calling MTG a Nazi is reasonable. Refusing to sign on to her bill because it's insufficient and you want to propose one that is sufficient and doesn't carry the baggage of such a despicable representative would also be reasonable. What would be unreasonable would be calling the rhetorical Nazi out for Nazism while giving the actual Nazis weapons to continue their ongoing Nazi genocide and congratulating yourself for being so brave.

The ideologically committed psychos like the entire Republican party, Schumer, Biden, etc can reasonably defend their argument. Some of them agree with Jewish supremacy over Arabs and like the fact that they're killing them. Some of them just don't give a shit about the Muslims over there and are cool with giving Israel a blank check to continue projecting American hegemony into the Middle East. These positions are patently evil but ideologically consistent. AOC and those like her cannot defend their positions. "What they are doing over there is morally wrong but there's nothing we can do about it and when someone brings up the thing you can definitely do about it I'm going to attack them personally to deflect from my own moral failing in refusing to engage with the issue." That's some shoot and cry bullshit and it deserves zero defense.

I agree wholeheartedly, but it’s 2025 and people are still expecting things, no matter how symbolic, from AOC. This is insanity.

Again, I think it was more important for aoc to address the fact that a nazi is outflanking her. In the end, she’s useless, she does nothing for anyone.

But I think it’d be fucking cool to talk about how the right wing is miming materialist rhetoric on hexbear dot net instead of just glossing over that a nazi is proposing this ammendment.
