It would be nice if it were an extended cab for storage, and the extra battery capacity that can be added with that.
Having 4WD would be really nice, but you lose range with that. It isn't meant to tow or really be off-road capable, so being RWD isn't a big deal for the target market. I would be fine being an early adopter with the hope that I could trade up to a 4WD version later. I get snow by me and have the skills to handle RWD with glee, but 4WD would be glorious when the roads get silly.
The bed is like 109cm between the arches and 207cm with the gate down, which meets the size needs of all but the most serious tradie. I have a work truck, so the Slate meets my personal needs.
