They’re mad because they’re narcissists who think they’re the most virtuous people on the planet and their worldview is shattered when they are being confronted by people who actually dedicate every fiber of their being to this.
It's very virtuous to spend your entire life complaining about how people care about things, actually. Complaining about people caring about things is more important than actually caring about things and doing real action because it's more civil to just complain
