I’ve been using it for 4 months now. I’ve lost 8% of my body weight. It really decreases appetite and cravings. Also, significantly decreased my desire for alcohol. While that wasn’t a huge problem for me I’m seeing it as a health bonus. The biggest side effect has been some constipation. The hardest part is the cost and availability. Many pharmacies are winding down compounding the medication because of the fear of lawsuits, soon the only option will be brand name Wegovy or Ozempic which is extremely costly and not covered by insurance.
Wow! 8% in 4 months. Did you make any diet changes other then the medicine?
Glad your seeing health improvements.
I didn’t make radical diet changes, my diet was already pretty decent. The medication seems to have made me want lighter food options like salads and lean proteins. I think it was because I could only eat smaller portions, wasting it on carbs seemed stupid. I plateaued at 8% lost, talked to my doctor and she raised my dose, but now I’m having trouble filling the new prescription because of the issues with compounding and short supply. I haven’t gained any back having now gone without for over a week, however I am noticing an increase in appetite.
