Your cameras give you a fine if you exceed by even 1 km/h? That's insane. In my country it's about 6 km/h or so above the limit where you get a fine. Every car is different so the speedometer might not show the exact speed right on the needle, and they know that speeds can vary slightly. You could also be right in the middle of slowing down, which won't be noticeable in the instant of the measurement, so they add this margin of error of about 6 km/h.
I guess it's harder too if you don't have automatic speed control on the car. ๐คทโโ๏ธ If the cameras and fines are this sensitive and you only have manual speed control (gas and break), and new cameras keep popping up all the time, I can definitely understand that you would want alerts of when there are speed cameras.
My car alerts me automatically so that's also am advantage I guess.
In fact, in our country, the threshold for speeding is 20 km per hour.... Accordingly, where there is a 40 limit sign, the maximum I can drive is 60 km per hour, 61 is already a fine, so you probably still have madness... with yours no more than 6
๐ Then you definitely don't need to know where the cameras are. You are a very bad driver if you are going TWENTY km/h (or more?!) over the limit getting "distracted", and it happens so often you need to constantly need to know where the cameras are. What country is this?! Do you even need to take a test to get your license in this country?
I'm sorry to sound rude but +20 km/h and you still need help. ๐ Nah...
