"justices in the majority did not explain why they decided this case the way they did." oh great. another precedent thrown out.
This is the problem I've always had with precedent. It's not law. It's just "well these other judges did it this way so I guess I will too."
well in this case they are throwing out the precedence of explaining their ruling.
