Israel just carried out a widespread bombing of Iran, which has killed a number of senior officials inside Iran (though it seems the leadership is more-or-less intact) as well as a number of civilians. Important facilities have been targeted, but the amount of damage is unknown so far (note that many important Iranian facilities are deep underground, making them both hard to damage but also hard to determine if they are damaged from just satellite imagery, so reports of damage will be he-said-she-said).
It appears the attack took Iran by surprise, given that a residential block was targeted that contained some senior officials - if one saw an attack coming, one would imagine they'd be in bunkers. Nonetheless, like the rest of the Resistance Axis, I suspect that Iran has adapted their military structures to be resistant to decapitation strikes by ensuring that replacement figures are ready to take the place of killed officials.
Iran has delivered a massive missile barrage in response to Israeli aggression, even though Israel is continuing to bomb Iran. Iran is now aware of the location of many important Israeli sites, including secret nuclear sites, due to their recent intelligence haul, giving them a distinct edge.

No, he didn't. He was one of the few people here giving an accurate description of the situation on the ground when some of you were just posting bullshit from telegram about how there was a response being organized that was going to stop the HTS any day now, right up until Damascus fell. And you couldn't handle that. Some of you should be sent to a fucking cave to reflect on how you have abandoned Marxist analysis and replaced it with uncritically huffing propaganda posts on telegram. I'm pretty sure some of you would denounce socialism if you saw a Resistance telegram telling you to do so.

Was everything manufactured? Absolutely not, go look at pictures from Ummayed Square from Dec 9th, or from the Aleppo Citadel, or from the Clock Square in Homs or even Latakia. There were massive celebrations across all major cities in Syria. I don't think it's beneficial for us as leftists to deny that most Syrians were happy to see Assad gone, instead we should analyse and understand why the idea of resistance was unpopular in Syria unlike South Lebanon or Gaza. Calling everyone CIA or a doomer for just transmitting the news is not a good mentality.

Jolani's policy is very much a yeehaw libertarian Bukele/Zelensky kind of thing. The main support base for color revolutions is the petit boug and professional class. So, no, seeing a few rallies in capitals, and your uncle getting excited is different from having a broad working-class base. Some of the Syrians celebrating getting more power were unknowingly receiving what was diverted from minority populations being blacked out.
It appears that some people are more interested in winning shower arguments from months ago rather than reconciling with reality. Gambling with predictions about who lives and dies is too perverse for me. You'll have to forgive my disgust and lack of enthusiasm.

So setting aside your epic warstories about people not being as right online as you, do you deny that there is a strong tendency among online left posters to be pro-Syria regime change, downplay the issues with Jolani, reverse the dynamic of Zionism to make the USA a helpless puppet, and paint Iran as an inactive deadbeat father of the resistance? Because I know exactly what they're referring to already. It's certainly not doing "Marxist analysis", it's reposting Al Jazeera, MEE, and other sources which are funded by US NGOs or Qatar. Isn't there a degree of truth in that statement? Iran's active support after Soleimani's death has been drastically reduced, and they let both Assad's government and Hezbollah get completely eaten by the wolves.
That's such a broad, unsupported, vibes-based assertion that asking where you got it will only elicit another, but I have to ask. On the Assad thing, see, this is exactly what I'm talking about. Syria, which refused bilateral cooperation with numerous countries because Assad's pee paw told him that allowing foreign investment would sacrifice sovereignty, and was more keen to deal with Turkey, is now said to have been thrown under the bus - by the people who believed Jolani was an improvement over Assad a few weeks ago.
