Kentucky Fried Chicken had to change their name to KFC because the meat is lab grown and doesn't come from chickens anymore.

Hey, as long as they used chicken cells with the same (or better) nutritional and flavour profiles, I wouldn't have a problem with them calling it chicken. I'd probably buy it more often if the chickens didn't have to die each time.

IIRC, they experimented a bit a few years ago but haven't had a widespread rollout as far as I know.

This, but the chickens have some supernumerary number of legs and wings, which legally makes them not chickens.

Also, the fruit in McDonald’s apple pies isn’t apples but chayote stewed in apple sauce, because that’s cheaper and has much the same texture.
