I guess I am too old, my first thought when I see this picture is "my poor back". πŸ˜‚

That’s usually my first thought after getting out of bed!

You should stretch before getting out of bed.

I'm only in my 30s but I have joint issues and since I started stretching before I get out of bed, I have had less back issues, particularly my lower back.

How do you even stretch while in bed?

Any stretches you can do sitting on the ground, you can do in bed.

Stretching torso muscles specifically, twisting, leaning, honestly any standing ones you can do from the waist up, and you can even stretch out legs before getting out of bed, too.

By the time all that is done, you can spring up and do the standing stretches without worrying you'll pull a muscle getting out of bed.

And if you laughed at the idea of someone pulling a muscle simply by getting out of bed, you just aren't old enough yet. You'll get there. I'm only in my 30s and I'm already there.
