well my main device is a steam deck now. and rockstar don't seem to like linux.
so its difficult for me to feel all that excited. but I hope you guys have a nice time.
I recently beat GTAV and thought, "Finally I'll check out Online play." Rockstar dropped Linux BattlEye anti-cheat support AFAIK back in December. No reason given, just one day penguins were doing multiplayer, the next day not. I fear their super late PC port will share the same fate. Bummed and angry at the same time.
Really unlikely it runs well on steam deck specs anyway. Plus there's usually a significant lag between their console releases and PC releases.
Confusing since they have an entire team in Canada that specializes in ports and it’s never been easier considering the Sony and MS consoles are both x86 now.
...well they haven't put a game out yet on the current gen tho, have they?
I guess you haven't heard of this new game called grand theft auto 5
If rockstar blocks Linux, then piracy may work as a way to untangle the block and allow it to run anyway
