Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. - No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. do you have ANY other solutions to the problem? Maybe idk, actually voting?
I did vote. For harris.
Your party responds to all sensory input by moving right and punching left. You assume anyone who has a problem with that must be a nonvoter.
good job, you actually did something! Why are you here then? Go yell at your representatives or something, nobody cares.
bold assumption.
statistically, it's very likely to be true, the primary demographic among the progressive left is younger people, the youth, the primary voting block is older people, the elderly. Statistically, this is bound to overlap in such a way that most people out here yapping online about stupid political shit like this, are not voting.
And the "I assume you are younger than me and therefore wrong" boomer dismissal is here again.
how old do you think i am?
old enough to do better than using the boomer dismissal.
wow such intelligence, maybe if you didn't skill issue so hard you could actually hit me with a good comeback.
As the kids say, L bozo.
It's sad watching geriatrics use younger people's slang.
oh no, are we crashing out now? Throwing even? No cap losing it perhaps.
you can call me old all you want, that won't change anything, i'm more hip and based than you.
Perhaps you should try a bit of "how do we do fellow kids" next time, before you skill issue
If you say so.
i do say so, good observation lil bro.
Pertinent discovery you've made there.
Perhaps next time you can check your aura before posting.
Ok.
Now tell me how moving to the right is totally gonna get the republicans' approval you seek more than anything this time. And how are you gonna get that approval? Supporting even more genocides? Getting more cheneys on board? Abandoning more minorities? Kicking progressives even harder?
Oh wait. Those are just things centrists do because they like doing them.
i thought we were talking about how i was an old man on the internet roleplaying as a hip young kid, or are you not OP and you've somehow stumbled into this random back alley where i'm ominously positioned.
Regardless, it's not "moving right" people on the left see it as "moving right" because they're on the left and have about 12 iq, whether or not the bipartisian support mattered or not is a different question, doesn't seem like it really did much frankly, but it's not "moving to the right" that's for sure.
if you care about progressive politics, go find a progressive politician, oh wait, there are none, because it's not a suitable political climate to engage in. AOC used to be progressive, she's slowly drifted more and more towards the left since beginning her career though, progressivism strictly resides in the social sphere, and that's fine.
Minorities abandoned themselves on this election cycle anyway.
And we're done here. You think anyone to your left is stupid and anyone to your right is god.
brother i'm on lemmy, most of the people who are politically engaged on this platform have about 12 collective IQ. Anybody on the right has about 10 collective IQ, i was graced with the unfortunate gift of intelligence, and have to suffer through a world full of stupid people.
You're gonna have to cut me some slack for being harsh lmao.
fascinating psychoanalysis, did your mom get it for you?
It's wrong, unfortunately.
You have mistaken unearned arrogance for intelligence. I said we're done.
