The main issue I see is people coming from Reddit, finding the .org one and not seeing the .UK one, which is much more active
I was trying to mitigate this by mentioning it to new users, but the mods banned me for this: https://feddit.org/modlog/242334
That’s PTB move. They literally made a vote asking what the community wants and you got banned for advocating for one side of the vote lol.
Yeah, good summary ha ha
if only there were a community where you could complain about this
edit i see you mentioned my rival community already please disregard
Just did: https://jlai.lu/post/16318139
Well, that's quite a knee-jerk reaction on their part, frankly stupid too: aren't we supposed to be a federated network instead of acting like a mini-reddit that wants to own everything? :/
Yes, that's how I perceive it as well. I might document this on !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com if I have some time
Imho, it's worth a least showcasing as a surprising decision and, imho, a questionable one too. Calmly discussing it in order to see what others think about it.
I don't like that you were banned for mentioning another community. And I don't like that only because I'm being polite here ;)
I just posted! https://jlai.lu/post/16318139
Okay, that's not a good look for them. !buyeuropean@feddit.uk has my full support now. Have you tried reaching out to the admins of feddit.org?
Just posted on !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com
I raised the issue in the feddit.org channel, admins see to have seen it, but didn't seem to want to take action.
