At the speed with which this administration is pushing new legislation, it kinda shows how easy it to actually pass shit instead of this interplay between different government bodies, representatives, legalism and other bullshit slowing down progressive policy. "Noooo Obama couldn't codify Roe V Wade because looking at subsection 7 of the Structures of Parliament document B of the 1996 edition it says that..."
Alot of stuff will be held up in courts, but if you fling enough shit at a window, eventually somethings gonna break through.
Proposing new legislation happens all the time from both parties, thousands of bills per Congress. Most a doomed to die from the start. This link has a bunch of bills proposed the week of 1/9/23:

I don't think we can say Republicans are getting shit done until they pass some of these. The media is just covering this stuff now because the Trump admin doing scary stuff is good at selling papers.
I'm not saying they won't succeed, it's just too early to say.
I do think it's much more difficult to pass something progressive, even given an honest attempt.
