Chinese web design isn't cluttered, the current web design trend in the "west" is a very stupid and bad obsessive pursuit of minimalism. Craigslist looks just like all these "cluttered" Chinese sites.
I honestly prefer the "clutter". I tend to do well with lots of dense information, and having more information available to me to process helps me make better decisions and find the info I am looking for.
i think we're returning to clutter but our clutter is like AI summaries of everything. in fact i was searching for something yesterday and clicked on a reddit result and google gave me an ai summary of the conversation so i had to click it a second time to actually go through to the site.
