Oh damn, I too initially left reddit during the API BS, but I didn't see any of that.

What instance was that? (Was it one of the Tankie Triad?(Hexbear, Lemmygrad or Lemmy.ml?))

I don't remember, sadly. It was like a year and a half ago, and I opened the app and saw some had made a post on the home page that was just the N word over and over so I closed the website (I was on desktop) and figured I would let it mature for a bit.
